I love this place!! The service is excellent! 01/17/2007 I read one of the reviews and agree that this is a great place to get your BMW repaired. I have been about everywhere and this is the best I have found... The people seem to be well trained and really care unlike many places I've been to. They even washed my car which was a great. I also agree that they are not inexpensive, but much less than the dealer!!! My BMW needs TLC and if the words "cheap" are in the name, the picture doesn't seem right to me. I'm looking for value and thats what they have given me. I have an appointment for my Wifes Mercedes and I'm sure it will receive the same care and quality.
Good work but expensive and somewhat slow 12/28/2006 Very good work, but significantly more expensive than a cheaper place such as Cheap Tires and Brakes in the U. For example; for a couple of minor parts and a 40K service, the total was $1,200.00. (This included a charge of almost $200 just to run the diagnostic and figure out what was wrong [most places are about $90) as well as more than $650 in labor. The 40K service was comprable to the VW dealership (which is also high). The upside is that they are thorough and do the job right. Saddly, this is more than I can say for many other places I've been to. Whats more, they make an effort at calling you every time they find something new, and all of the repairs were legitimate. I DO think they overcharge for their labor, but again, they are otherwise good mechanics and trustworthy. This is a good place to go for something complicated or difficult, or if your car is not easy to work on. (All newer cars, basically). This is DEFINITELY a good place to go if cost is NOT an issue. They appear to have lots of experience and a good reputation with working on European cars such as VW & BMW. They were not terribly fast, but this could have been seasonal.
Honest Experts 09/16/2004 These guys really know their BMWs. They are consistently right at diagnosis and give preventative advice. Car Tender aren't the cheapest BMW mechanics in the area HOWEVER everytime I stray to another more affordable mechanic, I always end up wishing I just gone to Car Tender first.
vehicular gods! 11/11/2002 I have received nothing but royal treatment from these guys! They have always gotten across to me what was wrong with my car, what needed to be repaired (or didn't!) and why; all with the utmost professionalism and without condescention! I have sent friends and clients there, and all have called to thank me raving about the service they received, and the fair pricing. They even vacuum out your car! It's nice to know you're getting CERTIFIED service ... and not getting taken. THANKS GUYS!
Not fancy, but reliable and cheap 04/04/2007 As a student in the 1990's, Andy always managed to keep my old Subaru 1988 GL Wagon running for very little cash. I have brought him my newer 1996 Legacy Wagon and he has performed more for less, and did not waste money on things other places said I "needed". I have driven my Subarus hard through forest service roads, creeks and deep snow and none of his repairs ever failed. I have not been there in a few years, but I would take my car to him again in the future. He is not slick, and does not come across like most garages. He is busy and short on conversation, but he seems to do a fair job at a fair price.
